A chocolate eclair is an oblong pastry that filled with cream and topped with chocolate icing. The filling is mostly a flavored cream, custard or whipping cream. Because of its sweet flavor. mostly children like to eat chocolate eclairs. This recipe will help you to make some sweet chocolate eclairs at your own kitchen.

Ingredients

For the pastry,
 100 g All-purpose flour
 125 ml Water
 2 qts Eggs
 50 g Butter
 ½ tsp Salt
For the cream filling,
 ½ qt Cream topping powder packet
 Milk (Cold)
 Sugar
For the chocolate topping,
 Grated chocolate
 Milk (Hot)

Directions

Heat a pan, add water and butter, mix it until the butter melts.

Gradually add all-purpose flour and mix well.

Heat the pan again and mix the dough on medium heat until it becomes a nom sticky dough.

Turn off the cooker.

Leave the dough aside until it cools completely.

Add some salt and eggs one by one and beat the dough using a hand beater fitted with dough hooks until it becomes a soft cream.

Put the cream into a large tip fitted piping bag.

Lay a parchment paper on the baking tray and pipe the cream as thick oblong stripes and brush some water on top of the stripes.

Meanwhile. preheat the oven to 200c'.

Bake the pastries for around 10 to 15 minutes.

Turn down the oven heat to 160c' and bake the pastries again for around 20 minutes.

Leave the baked pastries on a cooling rack until it cools down completely.

To make the cream filling,

Put the v=cream topping powder to a deep bowl.

Mix it gradually adding milk.

Add some sugar to suit your taste and mix it until sugar melts.

To make the chocolate topping,

Add hot milk to the grated chocolate and mix well until the chocolate melts.

To finalise the eclairs,

Cut the cooled pastries in half lengthwise and fill the cream filling.

Spread some chocolate on top of the eclairs.
