In a tropical country like Sri Lanka, we mostly use soft drinks rather than tea or coffee, with the warm weather. Mostly teenagers are addicted to these soft drinks. Falooda is one of those addictive drinks because of its sweet taste. Falooda is always served with a scoop of ice cream. So here is the recipe to make that addictive falooda drink at your home. You can make the falooda drink quickly and serve it to your family members, your visitors or even for you when you feel thirsty.
Special notes
• Before using basil seeds wash it, soak it in water for 15 minutes and strain the water.
• You can keep the remaining rose syrup for later use.

Put a saucepan on the cooker and add 250ml of water to the saucepan.
Add 125g of sugar, 1/2 Tsp of rose essence and 1/2 Tsp of rose coloring.
Stir it until the syrup thickens a little.
Turn off the cooker and leave the rose syrup aside until it cools well.
Add some sweet basil seeds into the bottom of the serving glass.
As the next layer add some jelly cubes. Be careful not to mix the two layers.
Now add 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of rose syrup into the glass.
Add some ice cream and another jelly cube finally.
Your Falooda is ready to be served.
