There are a lot of different icing types. Among those icing types, fondant icing is the most famous icing type. So this is the recipe to make fondant icing at home with fewer resources. And also here is some instruction to make a watermelon by using your homemade fondant icing.

Add 2 1/4Tbsp of boiling water to the 1 1/2Tsp of gelatin and stir well.
To a wide deep bowl add 1 1/2 of glycerin, 1 1/2 of glucose syrup and dissolved gelatin and mix well.
Stirring, add 400g of icing sugar little by little.
After mixing it for around 5 minutes put the mixture into a table top.
Knead the icing until it turns to a soft ball. This will take around 30 minutes.
Take a small part of your icing and add a few drops of red color food coloring.
Knead it until the color spread evenly.
Then wrap it using a plastic wrapper,
Now take another small ball, add few drops of green food coloring, knead it and wrap it like before.
Leave the rest icing wrapped from a plastic wrapper,
Take the green color icing ball, using a rolling pin roll it until it thins, If the icing is a little bit sticky spread some icing sugar on top of the working top and the icing ball.
Now put the rolled sheet on the cake. Cut off the unrequired parts.
Now take the left white icing ball, roll it using a rolling pin, spread some water on the green layer, spread the icing on top of the green layer to the required shape.
Now take the left pink icing ball, roll it using a rolling pin, spread some water on the white layer, spread the icing on top of the white layer to the required shape.
As the watermelon seeds, you can take Plums.
