Patties are famous as a tea time snack in Sri Lanka. It is spicy but yummy... There are a lot of different types of patties around the world. But in Sri Lankan patties are the best from whole world. This is how to make those delicious savory patties in your own kitchen. This patties recipe is very easy. You can make some patties using this recipe even for a house party. Ingredients

To make the patis dough,
 225 g All-purpose flour
 Cool water
 1 tsp Lime extract (Not necessary)
 ½ tsp Baking powder (Not necessary)
 1 qt Egg yolk (Nor necessary)
 120 g Butter (Cold)
To make the filling,
 Salmon (Drained and boned)
 3 qts Potato (Boiled and cut into squares)
 2 qts Onion (Chopped)
 3 Garlic (Chopped)
 3 Green chili (Chopped)
 Curry leaves (Chopped)
 Chili flakes
 Pepper powder
 Salt
 Tumeric powder
Other,
 Coconut oil
 Egg white

Directions

To make the filling,

Heat some oil in a pan and add chopped garlic.

When garlic is almost fried add chopped curry leaves and green chili.

Now add the salmon, some salt and mix well.

When added salmon is almost fried add chopped onions, some turmeric powder, chili flakes, and pepper powder.

When the added ingredients are well cooked, add boiled potato.

Turn off the cooker.

To make the dough,

Put the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and mix well.

Now add the egg yolk, lime extract, and butter, mix it well.

Knead the dough, gradually adding cool water.

To make the final dish,

Take the dough to a flour spread working top and roll it using a rolling pin.

Cut the dough into small circles.

Put some filling in the middle of the circles, brush some egg whites around the edges and fold it.

Using your fingers press down the edges gently to seal it well.

Now using a fork crimp the edges of the patties.

Heat some coconut oil in a pan and fry the patties on medium heat.

Serve it warm with some tomato sauce.
