In the new year season, we make a lot of sweets. Among them, as per the new tradition Pol toffee holds a special place. A lot of people buy Pol toffees from sweet shops for the new year season. Do you know it is very easy to make pol toffee at home? This is the recipe for very tasty pol toffee.

Special notes
•Before adding coconut toffee mixture into the tray butter coat the tray and the knife you are using to cut coconut toffee to pieces to avoid sticking.

Ingredients

 200 g Coconut
 300 g Sugar
 ¼ tsp Salt
 Vanilla extract
 Food coloring

Directions

Add 2oog of coconut, 300g of sugar, 1/4 Tsp of salt to a saucepan and mix well.

Turn on the cooker and stir it until all the sugar melts in medium heat.

Add 1/2Tsp of vanilla extract and stir well in medium heat.

Add a few drops of food coloring and stir well until it thickens well.

Turn off the cooker and add the mixture to a tray.

Using a knife cut it into pieces but don't separate.

Leave it for around 30 minutes.

Now using a knife separate the pieces.

Your homemade pol toffee is ready to serve.
