Sugar buns(Seeni banis ) are one of the most sold bakery item in Asian countries, especially in Sri Lanka. Every child likes the sweet sugar flavor of the sugar bun. Mostly Sri Lankan's buy sugar buns to eat at the tea time. But sometimes we can find some bakery items that are not in good quality as its outer look. So the best solution we have is making food on our own. Yes... you can make some soft, sweet sugar buns at home with the help of this easy sugar buns recipe.
Special notes
• When using butter make sure it is in room temperature.
• If you want to make burger buns, spread some fried sesame seeds on top of the bun.

Ingredients
Directions
Put 2 tsp of sugar to a small bowl and add 1/2 cup of warm water and stir it until all the sugar is dissolved.
Then add 1tsp of yeast and mix well.
Put 300g of all-purpose flour to a deep wide bowl, add 60g of sugar, 1tsp of salt and 30g of milk powder and mix well.
Now add 30g of butter to the bowl and mix well.
Add dissolved yeast, sugar mix into the bowl and mix well.
Add 1/4 cup of water.
Using a beater beat the dough until it turns to a soft non-sticky ball.
Now spread some flour on your working top and put the dough on it and neat it by hand.
Now put the dough into an oiled container, covet it by a kitchen towel and leave it for one hour.
After one hour you can see it has been rised to a triple size.
Spread some flour again to the working top and take the dough to the working top.
Now roll the dough and cut it into small pieces. Try to cut the pieces into approximately 80g weight.
Now roll the pieces into small balls using fingertips.
Then Flat the small balls a little.
Now put the flatten dough balls on a baking tray, cover it again from a kitchen towel and leave it for thirty minutes in a warm place.
After thirty minutes, put the baking tray into a 140c' preheated oven.
After fifteen minutes cover the baking buns from a foil paper and bake it for another 10 minutes.
Now spread some butter on top of the warm buns.
Now spread some sugar on top of the buns quickly.
